Jessica Griffin PflueglEvent Designer
Having a Business Degree from Manchester Metropolitan University in England, Jessica first entered the event design world as a freelance floral designer, where she determinedly absorbed as much knowledge about floral variety, seasonality, and care as she possibly could. During that time, she embarked on an Interior Design Curriculum and after earning her degree, found her permanent place as an event designer with Botanicals where her passion for flowers and spaces could live in harmony.
A lover of details and an advocate of understated elegance, she encourages open communication with her clients, which enhances the authentic results of her work. Jessica emphasizes both form and function and adores the opportunity to carefully create and intricately edit environments. She has been honored to design for the opening of Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, as well as Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse, to name a few. Featured in blogs and publications such as Style Me Pretty, Biz Bash and Inside Weddings, Jessica truly lives for the moment of stepping back and seeing each and every thoughtful detail come together.
- What inspires you? Color, architecture, nature, and my client relationships.
- What’s your most memorable moment with HMR Design? Meeting my husband at an event we designed.
- What’s a fun fact about you? The first wedding I ever designed was in England while in college. We went out to the forest and collected ivy then soaked it in the bathtub before making the centerpieces. I’ll never forget it.
Hope you are well! This email is long overdue, but I just wanted to write you and say THANK YOU! Honestly, your vision and execution were beyond perfect. It was like a fairy-tale land and exactly what I had hoped for and more. People kept telling me that they felt like they were on the set of a movie at our wedding. It really was so special.
You are so talented and I loved working with you and HMR. Thank you so much for all of your hard work. I’ll be sure to share the photos from the photographer of the tables (btw, I loved the mix of linen and farm tables!) and all of the other decor elements so you can have them for your portfolio.Julie
Oh what a wedding day and evening!!! Your team of creative experts transformed our garden into a scene from a happily-ever-after fairy tale with Kaelin and Steve in the starring roles. And you even arranged for a butterfly flitting above the ceremonial arbor! Her dream really did come true as you astutely interpreted her vision of this special day and worked your magic in the dinner tent at Shoreacres! The table florals were PERFECT, loved the candle chandeliers, the milk glass arrangements were unique, the mix of colors made a happy summer statement that warmed the entire space…it was simply elegant! You are a pleasure to work with and I hope we have another opportunity in the future!Annette
