Originally a Chicagoland native, a career in the US Army (10th Mountain LI Division) took Jonathan across the country and beyond – from Oklahoma to Baghdad – before he eventually returned to his hometown. Drawn to the surplus of culture, entertainment, and great food, Jonathan is glad to be back in Chicago where he is currently pursuing a degree in Plant Biology and Secondary Education from Northeastern Illinois University. A highly systematic list-maker with a cool-headed demeanor, Jonathan is a most befitting addition to the logistical side of HMR’s Event Production Team. When he’s not at work, Jonathan enjoys gardening, Netflix, and motorcycle trips.
- Who is your favorite artists? Shinya Kimura, he makes custom motorcycles by hand that, for me, capture the essence of why someone would ride what is essentially nothing more than a seat strapped to an engine, wheels, and rudimentary controls. "For me a motorcycle is more than art, it is something that brings out my instincts, a wildness, and vulnerability in me. It feels nothing like, how violent it looks from the outside. It's very serene. The ground and the sky are so white. There is no boundary between them." - Shinya Kimura
- What do you like to do in your free time? Work on my '86 944, my motorcycle, and restore broken scooters to working order. I might add a sidecar for my dog on my most recent scooter.
- If you weren't working at HMR, what would you be doing? I'd be a bush pilot in Alaska.
