Mathew Kuntz

Event Designer

Mathew began his career in the events industry over a decade ago as a wedding florist, a foundation that sharpened his eye for beauty and attention to detail. Over time, that work evolved into event design, where he discovered a passion for creating immersive, one-of-a-kind environments. His portfolio spans weddings, corporate gatherings, galas, mitzvahs, and social events, a range that continually inspires new ideas and creative approaches.

Mathew’s design sensibility is layered and feeling-driven. He gravitates toward rich color, texture, and pattern, drawing inspiration from art, architecture, interior design, and the bold aesthetics of the 1960s and 1970s. He’s especially inspired by unexpected materials and atmospheric details, using ceiling installations, chandeliers, and statement lighting to shape the character and mood of a space.

For Mathew, the most rewarding part of the process is the mockup phase, when ideas leave the page and become something clients can see, touch, and experience firsthand. He approaches every project with the same intention: creating unexpected moments and hidden gems that leave a lasting impression long after the celebration ends.

  • If you weren’t in this industry, what do you think you’d be doing? Maybe fashion design? I love fashion, trying new things, and completely changing my wardrobe and look from time to time. I watch a lot of project runway and RuPauls drag race too - I can't get enough.
