QUALIFICATIONS

  • HIGHLY ORGANIZED AND MOTIVATED WITH EXCELLENT FOLLOW UP & PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS. 
  • PLEASANT, ENTHUSIASTIC AND PROFESSIONAL DEMEANOR IN INTERACTIONS WITH VENDORS, CLIENTS AND COLLEAGUES.
  • ABILITY TO LIFT UP TO 50LBS. AND BE ON ONE’S FEET FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME IN A WAREHOUSE ENVIRONMENT.
  • MUST POSSESS A VALID C-CLASS DRIVER’S LICENSE, HAVE A CLEAR DMV RECORD AND BE ABLE TO DRIVE BOX TRUCKS UP TO 26’.
  • ABILITY TO ORGANIZE AND PROVIDE CLEAR DIRECTION TO INSTALL & TRANSPORTATION STAFF TO SUCCESSFULLY FACILITATE THE POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES.
  • ABILITY TO QUICKLY LEARN AND UTILIZE DIRECT (HMR’S PROPRIETARY EVENT MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE SYSTEM)
  • PROFICIENCY IN E-MAIL AND GOOGLE CALENDAR. 
  • ABILITY TO READ, WRITE AND SPEAK ENGLISH.  CONVERSATIONAL SPANISH A PLUS.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

GENERAL

  • ARRANGE FOR ANY MISSING ITEMS ON-SITE DURING EVENT INSTALLATIONS.  ADD ADDITIONAL ITEMS USED ON EVENTS INTO DIRECT FOR PROPER CLIENT BILLING.
  • PREPARE TRUCK ROUTES FOR INSTALLS AND DISMANTLES, PROVIDING MAPS FOR STAFF.
  • FILL IN FOR STAFF SCHEDULING, DUE TO LAST MINUTE CHANGES.
  • ASSEMBLE TOOL BOXES AND ADDRESS SPECIAL EQUIPMENT NEEDS FOR EVENT INSTALLATIONS.  INSPECT TOOL BOXES UPON RETURN FROM EVENT.
  • SERVE AS AN INSTALL OR DISMANTLE LEAD OR TRUCK DRIVER, WHEN NECESSARY.
  • MONITOR THE PROGRESS OF FABRIC, VINYL & ART PROJECTS FOR EVENTS, ENSURING THAT THEY INCLUDED ON THE CORRECT DELIVERY.
  • REVIEW INSTALL & DISMANTLE REPORTS WITH LOGISTIC MANAGER & GENERAL MANAGER.  INVESTIGATE ANY ISSUES & CHECK FOR MISSING ITEMS.  
  • COMPLETE WAREHOUSE REPORTS.  SCAN AND ADD THE REPORTS TO THE EVENT FOLDER IN HMR DIRECT.
  • ADJUST INVENTORY, AS NECESSARY.
  • LEAD INTERNAL PROJECTS, AS NECESSARY.
  • CONTRIBUTE TO ANNUAL PERFORMANCE REVIEWS, AS NECESSARY.

 

DISPATCH OF EVENTS

  • ENSURE THAT ALL CARTS AND EVENT RELATED ITEMS ARE LOADED ONTO THE CORRECT TRUCKS.
  • ASSIST INSTALL LEAD IN ARRANGING FOR TRANSPORTATION OF STAFF TO EVENT VENUES.
  • MEET WITH INSTALL STAFF PRIOR TO DEPARTURE TO:
    • ENSURE STAFF IS PUNCHED INTO CORRECT JOB.
    • GIVE GENERAL TIMELINE, TO INCLUDE TURNS OR STAFF WORKING ON MULTIPLE EVENTS.
    • CHECK THAT STAFF IS IN CORRECT UNIFORM.
  • CONTACT INSTALL LEAD/PRODUCER FOR FINAL CHECK IN TO:
    • ENSURE STAFF HAS ALL EVENT ITEMS.
    • FINALIZE END OF DAY TRANSPORTATION.
    • CONFIRM BRUNCH DETAILS.
    • CONFIRM ANY CHANGES NEEDED FOR DISMANTLE STAFF.

LOGISTICS

  • COORDINATE ANY AND ALL VEHICLE MAINTENANCE.  SECURE QUOTES FOR SERVICES.
  • MONITOR THE VEHICLE LOGS FOR COMPLIANCE WITH COMPANY POLICIES.
  • KEEP VEHICLE STICKERS, LICENSE PLATES AND EMISSION TESTING CURRENT AND IN COMPLIANCE.
  • ARRANGE FOR RENTAL OF ALL TRUCKS (SHORT & LONG TERM).  CREATE P.O.’S AND RECONCILE INVOICES WITH ACCOUNTING.  
  • INSPECT RENTAL TRUCKS BEFORE AND AFTER RENTAL TERM.  PHOTOGRAPH AS NECESSARY.
  • EVALUATE THE PRACTICAL SKILL LEVEL OF ALL TRANSPORTATION NEW HIRES.  ASSIST INTERNAL TRANSPORTATION CANDIDATES IN SECURING THEIR C-CLASS DRIVER’S LICENSE.  TRACK & LOG ALL TRANSPORTATION STAFF’S DRIVER’S LICENSE DATA.
  • COMPILE AND UPDATE VENUE SPECIFIC LOGISTIC INFORMATION IN DIRECT. 

DISMANTLE

  • PREPARE DISMANTLE CRATES.
  • BRIEF DISMANTLE LEAD ON BRUNCH DETAILS.
  • BE AVAILABLE, VIA TELEPHONE, DURING DISMANTLE TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS FROM CREW.
