Last weekend’s clear and temperate summer solstice delivered us from spring into what we hope will be warm and radiant months ahead. As we approach July and bid adieu to the gorgeous spring blooms that helped melt away the winter, our floral design team lets us know what we can look forward to next.

Make way for the long and lovely gladiolus. Watching the progression of their emerging blooms is absolutely worth the wait, and their lengthy stalks make excellent focal arrangements.

GARDEN VARIETY: CELOSIA & CROCOSMIA
Unusual in shape and texture, the varieties of celosia each offer a wonderful deviation from the norm.
Varieties of celosia, or cockscomb flowers, are known as “brain” (ABOVE) or “feather” celosia (BELOW) for their likeness to each.
