Floral Studio Manager & BuyerThough Lynn has been working in floral design for the past fifteen years, her passion for fresh blooms is lifelong. As a child, her mom and sister would task Lynn with arranging flowers from their garden, igniting her enthusiasm for the artform. After earning her B.S. in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, her love for all things botanical soon blossomed into a career. Moving to Chicago on a leap of faith, Lynn found her way to HMR in 2017 where she took on the role of our Floral Studio Manager & Buyer. She’s inspired by the incredible floral product that comes into our possession on a daily basis and the creativity and talent within our studio walls. When she’s not working, she can be found hiking, trying a new restaurant, and relaxing with her husband and her 11-year-old bulldog, Duke.
- What is something interesting about you that makes you a great fit for HMR Designs? I am both right and left minded! Overall I see myself as more of a creative, but my strength is organization. It is what makes me a great fit for my job at HMR, and the ever-changing, constantly-evolving floral studio.
- What is your “style” in regards to event design? My design style is classic with a modern twist. I love the juxtaposition of old and new and seeing all the endless ways genres can be mixed. And of course I am a sucker for floral driven design - flowers everywhere, please!
- If you weren’t the Floral Studio Manager of Buyer, what would you be? I would be an Olympic gymnast. Whenever I see a large open field, I wish I had the capability to do flips across the whole thing!
- What is one fun fact about you? I am a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu - I am more dangerous than I look!
