To the Nines: Holiday Decor at Trump Hotel and Tower

Trump Hotel Entrance Chicago

They say that change doesn’t usually happen overnight, but each November, the opposite is true for the Trump International Hotel and Tower. HMR assembles teams for 3 nights of turning the luxurious hotel and tower into…well, a holiday inn. It’s no surprise that the exclusive, elegant space looks so fabulous all dressed up for the holidays, so to celebrate the season, let’s tour the Tower’s festive elements.

For obvious reasons, Chicago might not be a skiing metropolis, but that doesn’t mean that visitors and residents shouldn’t have the opportunity to find their inner snow bunny.
The Trump Lodge--decor by HMR Designs Our Art Team transformed space on the 16th floor into the “Trump Lodge” in only 8 hours time. Plaid-clad and complete with vintage snow bunny photos, fireside seating, frosted window panes and a Trump family crest, the lodge is the perfect winter retreat offering a stunning view of the frozen city below.

In addition to our holiday contributions, Trump also executes rather impressive festive feats of their own.

The Gingerbread Express

Sixteen Pastry Chef Aya Fukai builds The Gingerbread Express, a facade made of 800 real gingerbread bricks–the result of 27 forty quart batches of dough made with, among other things, 3.25 pounds of ginger and 98 pounds of butter.
