To the Nines: Holiday Decor at Trump Hotel and Tower
They say that change doesn’t usually happen overnight, but each November, the opposite is true for the Trump International Hotel and Tower. HMR assembles teams for 3 nights of turning the luxurious hotel and tower into…well, a holiday inn. It’s no surprise that the exclusive, elegant space looks so fabulous all dressed up for the holidays, so to celebrate the season, let’s tour the Tower’s festive elements.
Tree Time
Geometric-chic: custom trees designed with thousands of sprigs of fresh boxwood, each 16 feet tall, flank the entrance.
The gilded Lobby tree spans 20 glowing feet and hosts over 1,200 silver and gold ornaments as well as over 800 floral and foliage stems.
The residential lobby tree stands 18 feet tall and dons a rich red and gold palette of its own.
Luxe Lodge
For obvious reasons, Chicago might not be a skiing metropolis, but that doesn’t mean that visitors and residents shouldn’t have the opportunity to find their inner snow bunny.
Our Art Team transformed space on the 16th floor into the “Trump Lodge” in only 8 hours time. Plaid-clad and complete with vintage snow bunny photos, fireside seating, frosted window panes and a Trump family crest, the lodge is the perfect winter retreat offering a stunning view of the frozen city below.
Lifted
In addition to our holiday contributions, Trump also executes rather impressive festive feats of their own.
Sixteen Pastry Chef Aya Fukai builds The Gingerbread Express, a facade made of 800 real gingerbread bricks–the result of 27 forty quart batches of dough made with, among other things, 3.25 pounds of ginger and 98 pounds of butter.
The fabulous Gingerbread Express has recently been featured in Today’s Chicago Woman as well as The Chicago Tribune. (Click the links to read more)
Lofty glowing trees, gingerbread lifts and a cozy ski lodge? Clearly, The Trump Hotel and Tower is an ideal space to fully enjoy the beauty of the season. Go ahead, see for yourself.
Thanks to the Trump International Hotel and Tower and to the HMR elves, and Happy Holidays from all of us at HMR.
