A Warm Welcome to Our New Digs

In the true fashion of ringing in a New Year, the HMR Designs Team welcomed 2017 with a full relocation to our brand new design studio. We couldn’t be happier about moving on up, as they say, and thought it high-time we share a peek inside our handsome new home.

HMR Designs new location

Located just northwest of our former Goose Island home, our new space is larger, brighter, and up to our rather high standards of aesthetic. After all, a design firm designingdesign studio is about as good as it gets.

The hope is that our space invokes inspiration, both by what’s on the walls…as well as by what goes on inside them (at the hand of our tenacious team).

We couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome to our new locale than a recent visit from our Alderman and the Director of our local business council. We had a great time meeting them and showing them around…

An undoubtedly loyal lifelong resident of the 39th ward, Alderman Margaret Laurino has devoted her career to championing an impressive assortment of causes including increasing education spending, reducing crime, and supporting local businesses like yours truly.

The Alderman was joined by Janita Tucker, Executive Director of the Peterson & Pulaski Business and Industrial Council. Co-founded by Alderman Laurino, this local organization aids in attracting and engaging new industrial businesses to the area–one that Tucker considers a unique, peaceful and park-rich pocket of the city.

What better place to begin than a stroll through our always-refreshing floral studio…(where we learned that the Alderman favors Hydrangea…while Janita is partial to Lilacs)…

We want to thank Alderman Laurino and Janita for stopping by, for their sincere curiosity in learning just what the wonderful world of event design looks like from behind the scenes; for meeting our team; and of course, for stopping to smell the flowers.
